Beth M. Brown, MS, FACHE
Associate Director, Operations
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs has confirmed the appointment of Beth M. Brown MS, FACHE as the Associate Director for Operations of the Louisville VA Medical Center. She began her tenure with the Louisville VA Medical Center on February 18, 2007.
Beth M. Brown, MS, FACHE, was appointed Director, Business Office for the VA New England Healthcare System in December 2000. As the Business Office Director, she was responsible for coordinating and standardizing business practices across the network including patient accounts (eligibility, enrollment, means testing and Medical Care Cost Fund) , patient services (fee basis) and Health Information Management (HIPAA, release of information, coding, transcription and file room). She also served as the VISN 1 liaison for the OIF/OEF program. Prior to this appointment, she was the Associate Medical Center Director at the VA Medical Center, Northampton, MA.
A native of Michigan, Ms. Brown began her VA career in 1976 as a staff dietitian at Iron Mountain VA Medical Center in Michigan. Ms. Brown has more than 30 years of management and leadership experience and has worked as an Administrative Section Chief and Chief of Food and Nutrition at VA Medical Centers in Pennsylvania and Texas. She completed her Associate Director Training in San Antonio, TX, and then served as the Assistant Director there before moving to New England in 1998. Ms. Brown is a 1990 graduate of Leadership VA and a 1997 graduate of the Leadership Federal Executive Board (FEB) San Antonio. She has a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from South Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University in Food and Nutrition. Ms. Brown is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Healthcare Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
