Mandatory Training for Trainees
The MTT is is intended for all health professions trainees whether paid or without compensation. This course is mandatory for all trainees, though individual facilities may require additional training based on location and type of appointment. It consolidates all of the VA required orientation training into one program, replacing the multiple courses that were previously required. You can access this training course through the VA Office of Academic Affliations.
Pharmacy Practice Residency
The Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program began in 2010 with one resident. The program expanded and currently offers two Pharmacy Residency positions. We offer a variety of rotations covering acute care and ambulatory care services. Our residents have the opportunity to interact with other residents across the Commonwealth of Kentucky by participating in the Kentucky Pharmacy Residency Network (KPRN) and Sullivan College of Pharmacy Grand Rounds. The VA is the largest pharmacy residency program in the Country. Our residents interact with other VA residents across the country by participating in monthly resident conference calls and utilizing the VA Pharmacy Residency Listserv.
