Situation Update

As of Monday, April 13, 2020 12:47 PM EDT

All Robley Rex VA Medical Center clinics and operations are operating normally EXCEPT for the updated visitor and patient restrictions/guidelines below.

Robley Rex VAMC strives to provide timely updates regarding the Coronavirus.  Please be advised that Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee have all reported CONFIRMED CASES OF the Coronavirus. As a precaution, we have limited the number of entrances at all of our VA facilities and implemented several other preventative measures:

  • Visitors are no longer permitted to enter the Robley Rex VA Medical Center facility. Exceptions include end-of-life situations or if the visitor is a caregiver and the patient relies on said caregiver for transportation and mobility. Individuals only providing transportation, will be directed to remain in their vehicles. Children under the age of 18 are also not permitted at this time. End-of-life visitation is limited to 11:00am to 1:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm daily.
  • Robley Rex VAMC will no longer process routine prescription refills at the facility.
  • If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please call your primary care provider before coming to your appointment.
  • As an alternative to face-to-face appointments, we encourage you to use secure messaging on MYHEALTHEVET or virtual care. Ask your primary care team for more information on these options.
  • Patients are asked to report to scheduled appointments alone if at all possible.  If someone must accompany you, please limit the number to one individual.
  • Patients and visitors are directed to enter the facility at the Clinic Entrance, where they will be verbally screened.
  • Please be aware that valet services have been temporarily suspended and that a parking lot shuttle will be operating Monday thru Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Please plan to arrive early to your scheduled appointments as parking and screening may result is some delays.

Additional restrictions may be put in place as conditions warrant.

Thank you for your cooperation and trusting Robley Rex VAMC with all your health care needs.
