This project also features new infection control measures such as: ante-rooms with pass-thru cabinets to allow transfer of items to and from the room without the need for additional staff to enter the room.
Understanding the direct impact an environment has on healing; a "patient-centered" design concept was utilized throughout the entire renovation process. Features include warm interior finishes to create a welcoming environment; use of shapes, colors and curved forms to soften the look; wood grain flooring and cabinetry; and soft lighting to enhance the overall environment.
