The Robley Rex VA Medical Center (VAMC) Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) program is proud to announce their second Veteran Job Fair in the Hotel Louisville, Grand Ballroom, located at 120 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY. This unique two day event will be held on Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

“Nearly 750,000 Veterans under age 50 are not in the labor force due to various disabilities,” says Robley Rex CWT Coordinating Supervisor Stacey Norris. “Employment can be an important personal goal and a meaningful part of mental health recovery. The Compensated Work Therapy program works to support and empower those Veterans wanting to return to work by finding competitive employment opportunities with local employers.”

Activities outlined for Wednesday, September 16th, will be focused on preparing Veterans for employment. Services will include resume review, mock interviews, Legal Aid services, employment resources, application assistance, and a presentation on federal employment for Veterans.

On Thursday, September 17th, 30 Veteran friendly local employers will be available to discuss employment opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to dress in business attire and bring resumes. TARC will provide a Job Hunter bus specifically for the Job Fair. While employment for Veterans is the primary focus of the Veteran Job Fair, any individual seeking employment assistance is welcome to attend. No registration is required.

The Veteran Job Fair is presented by the Robley Rex VAMC CWT program. For more information on this, and other opportunities available for Veterans through CWT, contact Stacey Norris at (502) 287-4162 or stacey.norris@va.gov.
